		<description>I enjoy reading Professor Willingham&#039;s research, including &quot;Why Students Don&#039;t Like School&quot;.  However, I am a bit confused when Professor Willingham says that IQ is &quot;malleable&quot;, or capable of being changed.
If that is true, then is it also true that mental retardation can be eradicated, cured, or otherwise remediated?

If IQ is indeed malleable, then perhaps the goal of 100% of all students scoring proficient is not such bad federal education policy afterall.</description>
