I think the preschool to which you&#039;re referring was the Bereiter-Engelmann program, and it was at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. I have a graph showing some pretty impressive results from that study. I&#039;ll post it later.

		<description>Zig Engelmann, founder of DI, ran a very successful preschool before he got into K-6 education.  The students were low SES students in Chicago.  Apparently, he was able to raise their IQs significantly in the 2 years he ran the school.  And he used the ideas he developed there to inform his instructional concepts.
