The Washington Post reported that a court-appointed administrator responsible for transportation of special education students Washington (DC, US) is having difficulty accomplishing his duties within the budget provided him. Post writer V. Dion Haynes described a report to be delivered to DC courts as a part of a legal settlement of a class-action suit brought by parents of students with disabilities nearly 10 years ago. According to the report, simply getting students to schools is really difficult.
One has to wonder about the quality of the education the students are getting, if providing transportation is so difficult.
